Form Meets Function

Aesthetic elements that are incorporated into a roadway project must be functional. The selection and placement of materials is crucial. Pedestrian lighting must promote safety while landscape materials cannot restrict the view of the motorists. All of these elements must work as a cohesive whole to create a systematic relationship between pedestrians, vehicular traffic, and the surrounding neighborhood.
