Brian Peterson, PE

Telecommunications Co-Practice Leader

As a Co-Practice Leader of the Telecommunications group, Brian Peterson is responsible for directing a team of structural engineers, construction managers, field engineers and architects that provide a range of telecommunications solutions. He has earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron. Brian has been teaching an Engineering Management and Leadership class at the University of Akron to senior level engineers of all disciplines since 2004. Additionally, he is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

Brian has been involved in both the technical and business aspects of telecommunications projects for a majority of the largest coverage providers and tower owners in the United States, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Crown Castle, American Tower and General Dynamics. He oversees many different types of telecommunications projects, including self-support towers, guyed towers, monopole towers, power transmission towers, stealth concealments, concrete silos, concrete towers, building rooftops and water tank structures. He is also responsible for developing solutions ranging from collocations on existing structures to raw land site engineering and development. Brian is involved in local zoning support, permitting, utility coordination, environmental engineering, regulatory management, modification design, construction management, and owner representation and has successfully represented several wireless providers at zoning hearings in the Great Lakes area to aid in their continued growth.
